Cancel an appointment via SMS text message

Overview

You can canceling an appointment by responding to the confirmation SMS text message. This article walks you through the steps to cancel your appointment quickly and easily through SMS text message.

 Instructions

  1. Find the confirmation SMS text message you received after scheduling your appointment through #FindYourAlly. Reply "CANCEL" or "X" to the SMS text message. You'll receive a SMS text message asking you to confirm the cancellation or to reschedule the appointment.

    1. If you choose to cancel, reply "Y" to confirm the cancellation. You will receive a cancellation SMS text message to confirm you successfully cancelled your appointment. You will also receive a cancellation email from lsapsupport@foundationccc.org.;

  Reminder to reach out directly to your legal provider if you are canceling within 24 hours of your appointment. Their contact information (phone and/or email) are included in the confirmation email for your convenience. Or can be found in the help article to communicate directly with legal providers.
